JAMMU, July 27: BJP Anusuchit Jati Morcha organized a celebration programme in connection with the taking over of Ram Nath Kovind as 14th President of the Republic of India.
BJP SC Morcha National general secretary, Ramesh Chander Ratn, who was the chief guest and main speaker on the occasion, along with State president & MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma, State general secretary Pawan Khajuria, SC Morcha State president & MLA Dr. Devinder Manyal, MLA Dr. Krishan Bhagat, senior leader Balbir Ram Rattan, SC Morcha State parbhari N. D. Rajwal, SC Morcha State general secretary graced the programme with their presence.
Ramesh Ratn, while addressing the largely attended programme, said that the whole world is indebted to the great National heroes like Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar, Dr. Shyama Parsad Mookherjee, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhayay and Pandit Prem Nath Dogra, who have worked throughout their lives for the upliftment of downtrodden and neglected sections of the society. He said that BJP has chosen a man of high integrity and values, on whom, even the united opposition could not find a single charge.
He said that the Dalit community has faced much oppression in the past but still withstood the test of time to come untainted with the effort of great ideologues. He said that previous Congress regimes used the Dalit community for their vested intersts but it is BJP that has given true representation to the Dalits first by the recognition of the works of Baba Saheb Ambedkar and now by getting elected Dalit as President of India.
Sat Sharma, while addressing the gathering, said that today the people of India have got a great man as the President, who hails from very humble background, has served on numerous positions but still maintained his dignity and stature throughout his social and political career. He said that the party has celebrated his election as the 14th President of India at every Mandal level, throughout the country.
Pawan Khajuria, while addressing the gathering, said that BJP is committed to provide equal representation to all the communities as the development of the Nation cannot be reached unless and until all the sections of the society do not flourish.
Dr. Davinder Manyal threw light on the life of President Ram Nath Kovind.
Dr. Krishan Bhagat congratulated Indians to have got such a noble soul as the President of India.
N.D. Rajwal congratulated PM Narendra Modi, BJP national president Amit Shah and the national team for a unanimous decision in favour of Ram Nath Kovind as the Presidential nominee.
Mohan Lal Rao said that BJP is the first and the only party of India to give the true representation to the Dalits in all spheres.
Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Balbir Ram Rattan.
Sanjay Baru, Suresh Sharma, Jugal Kishore Gupta, Ayodhya Gupta were among others present in the programme.
