JAMMU, Apr 20: A two-day neurosurgery conference, the 10th Annual Association of Neurosurgeons of North West Zone, along with a hands-on workshop, was organized at GMC Jammu, bringing together leading neurosurgeons, academicians, and healthcare professionals.
The Conference served as a dynamic platform for the exchange of knowledge, showcasing the latest advancements in techniques, patient care, and innovative research. Eminent speakers delivered insightful lectures on cutting-edge topics including vascular neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, spine surgery, minimally invasive procedures, and neuro-rehabilitation.
The event commenced with an inaugural ceremony graced by chief guest Dr Ashutosh Gupta (Principal & Dean, GMC Jammu). The Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred upon Prof Mohd Afzal Wani.
Awards for distinguished services in the field of neurosurgery in J&K were presented to Prof ML Babu, Prof Altaf Kirmani and Dr JP Singh. The presidential oration was delivered by Dr Altaf Umar Ramzan, while the presidential medal was handed over to Dr S S Grewal, the incumbent president of the Association.
