NEP a revolutionary reform of 21st century: Priya Sethi

JAMMU, May 26: National executive member of BJP and former Minister Priya Sethi today said that the New Employment Policy 2020 is a revolutionary reform of the 21st Century.
“The NEP 2020 will empower the youth, who will take the nation forward in the 21st century,” the former Minister said, while adding that the NEP will make the teaching-learning experience enjoyable for students and teachers. This gives ways for innovative activities, modern labs, placements, and many such features for bringing a landmark change in the education system, she added.
Sethi said that the NEP has been created as a reflection of aspirations of the parents, teachers, students and education experts, which aims to address the challenges for the coming generations. She was addressing students during her visit at IIT Jammu, Jagti (Nagrota).
Dr Ashwariya Biswal, National Secretary of BJP Mahila Morcha was also present on the occasion. In his message to students, Dr Ashwariya Biswal asked students to be forthcoming and strive for excellence in education. She asked them to work hard to achieve their goals and said that only those who work with honesty, dedication, efficiency and vision for progress, leave a mark on the society.
Earlier, the IIT Jammu campus hosted members of BJP Mahila Morcha as led by Priya Sethi and Dr Ashwariya Biswal, the BJP Mahila Morcha team visited the Campus. Accompanying them were Savita Anand, Chakshu Kapoor, Chanda Kerni, Reema Padha, Anita Gandotra, Suman Raina, Geetanjali Mahajan and Neeru Anand.
The team was extended welcome by Prof Anurag Misra, Dean of Infrastructure Planning and Management (IPM) at IIT Jammu. Subsequently, the team engaged in a productive dialogue with female students from IIT Jammu. Thereafter, Mahila Morcha team visited the Institute’s Workshop and Tinkering Lab, where they were briefed on the ongoing initiatives undertaken by students to find solutions to real-world problems.
Dr Dhartri Rath, Dr Archana Rajput, Avinash Barthwal, Purvi Sarkar, Shrikarshan Pareek, Mannu Virk, and Daksh Dev from IIT Jammu facilitated the campus tour for the entire Mahila Morcha team.
