JAMMU, Sept 11: Central Placement Cell of Central University of Jammu organized an interactive session on “Leadership through Emotional Intelligence” wherein Raj Nehru, Associate Director-HR, Concentrix was the resource person.
Mr Nehru with over 20 years of work experience has played a key role in HR transformation, Corporate Social responsibility and Change management at IBM and other leading corporate houses. He was recently appointed by Governor of Haryana as the Director on the Board of Directors for Haryana Electronics Corporation Ltd. He is also on the Board of Governing Council of IILM Management Institute & Global Village Foundation.
Mr Nehru, in his interactive session, focused on building and anticipating skills that contribute towards an individual’s overall success. He also discussed the concept of leading the transformation.
Raj Nehru differentiated Human Resource development strategies and initiatives that are required to be successful. He emphasized on the importance of strengthened leadership for managerial effectiveness. He deliberated upon the practical aspects of emotional intelligence and suggested methods to cope with anxiety. He also emphasized on developing leadership skills among the students through behavioural transformation.
Earlier, Prof Deepak Raj Gupta, Convener, Central Placement Cell, emphasised upon the role of Central Placement Cell at CUJ for placement of the students at CUJ.
The session concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Gowhar Rasool, Assistant Professor. The session was coordinated by Dr Neelika Arora.
