JAMMU, Sept 11: PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry J&K State Committee today held extensive discussions on cross LoC trade with George Sibley,  Minister Counselor, Economic, Environment, Science & Technology Affairs, United States of America and  Nisha Rajan, Economic Advisor in the Embassy of the United States of America here today.
During the course of discussions, PHDCCI suggested for opening of additional trade points both in Jammu and Kashmir divisions, facilitation of Visa-free leisure, Medical and pilgrimage tourism.
The Chamber also suggested for enhancement of the list of tradable articles, goods and other commodities across the LoC and also that barter trade mechanism be replaced by trade in Dollar terms.
The Chamber advocated for further enhancement of people to people contact and economic integration as a necessary pre-requisite for normalization of relations between India and Pakistan.
The delegation was led by Vikrant Kuthiala, Chairman PHDCCI J&K State Committee and Executive Members- Rajender Motial, Kuldeep Gupta, Arun Gandotra, Rajesh Gupta, Pamil Sharma and Prashant Mathur.
