JAMMU, Nov 25: National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI) has expressed concern over alleged bungling and corrupt practices in Geology and Mining (G&M) Department.
Rajesh Gupta, NDPI president J&K UT has urged upon the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha to take stern action against the wrong doers in G&M Department.
He said that G&M Department has three main divisions-technical, drilling and Geology & Mining. Gupta claimed that persons recruited in drilling wing manage posting in mineral section by underhand means where they mint money but never did an inch of drilling for which they were appointed.
He further claimed that drilling persons posted in mineral section have no knowledge of minerals, their quality quantity etc.
The NDPI leader demanded a CBI probe into this issue and claimed that the drillers can’t even differentiate between limestone and dolomite.
