NC women workers hold meet

MLA, Bimla Luthra addressing NC women workers at Jammu on Wednesday.

JAMMU, Nov 27: Women workers of National Conference (NC) held a meeting at village Maghal in block Bishnah.
The meeting was organized by Mohinder Kour and Balwinder Kour and chaired by Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Bimla Luthra.
During the meeting, the women workers raised various issues including dilapidated condition of roads, water shortage problem, black topping of roads, old age pension, construction of cremation ground, etc.
While speaking, MLA assured the participants that their demands will be redressed at the earliest.
Luthra further added that the developmental system and the policies and programmes, which are people friendly have been initiated by the Government for the benefit of the people especially residing in far flung areas of the State.
“I will try my best to improve the life style of rural women folk so that they come out of poverty”, she asserted.
Among others present were Veena Oberoi, Raj, Rano Bharti, Anju Grover, etc.
Later MLA Bimla Luthra also inaugurated a hand pump in the vicinity of the village.
