RAMBAN, Jan 15: A protest was stated by JKNC against deteriorated health care system in the district, in which local people also took part.
The protest said that in SDH Banihal there is lack of basic facilities, shortage of medical and para-medical staff, non-availability of life saving medicines and blood bank. The protest was led by NC District President Ramban Sajjad Shaheen.
They also said that there is nno infrastructure in District Hospital Ramban, Sub-District Hospital Banihal, PHCs Ukharhal, Ramsoo, Khari, Neel, Nowgam, Mahu-Mangit and other sub centres in Banihal.
The protestors urged the Governor to intervene and direct the concerned department to take steps to improve health care facilities in all the hospitals in District Ramban especially in far-off areas of Banihal constituency.
