JAMMU, Dec 10: Glowing tributes were paid to the architect of the Constitution of India, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar with senior National Conference functionaries saying that the towering of the tallest will continue to be an inspiration for generations because of his insight into social justice and equality.
Besides Provincial President Devender Singh Rana, Addl General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustaffa Kamal, while paying homage to the Messiah of millions, at a function held at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan here in commemoration of the death anniversary of the Baba Sahib, said that Dr Ambedkar dedicated his entire life for the welfare of weaker sections and his contribution in that regard was exceptional.
They said that the best tribute to Dr Ambedkar was to work for welfare of weaker sections of the society so that social inequality could be minimised.
Several functions were held by OBC Wing to pay tributes to Dr Ambedkar on his death anniversary.
Co-Chairperson, NC OBC Cell Vijay Lochan threw light on the life of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar and said that braving numerous challenges he always strived for harmonious society and worked tirelessly for strengthening the bonds of amity and brotherhood.
Senior functionaries including State Vice Presidents Rattan Lal Gupta and Th.
