Jammu artist Reecha Gupta’s work put on display in Art show ‘Bindu’

JAMMU, Dec 10: Jammu artist Reecha Gupta’s rare works have been put on display in an Art show on female infanticide/leticide titled ‘Bindu’, at The American Center, Cannaught Place, New Delhi.
The show was formally inaugurated by Padamshree Nila Madhab Panda, an eminent social film maker, along with Branden Young, North India Coordinator, US Embassy, last evening.
‘Bindu’ is a show of creative expressions of various artists that communicates the painful fact that even in this era of technological advancement, the inhuman act of female infanticide/feticide is still a practice in some nations.
The show is an effort to create some impact in people’s mind and spread the message of ill-effects of female infanticide/feticide through the silent works displayed in the exhibition, which will conclude on 31st December and remain open from Monday to Friday from 11 am to 8 pm except Indian and American holidays.
Besides Jammu artist Reecha Gupta, artist Ashutosh Pramanik, Balesh Jindal, Bhavna Yadav, Dipti Jain, Jai Zharotia, Neerajj Mitra, Nishit Jain, Rachna Bhati, Richard Ray, Shibani Rajurkar, Shweta Zharotia and Suniyata Khanna hailing from various parts of the Country are participating in the show.
