JAMMU, May 27: National Conference (NC) Women Wing Provincial Vice President Rita Gupta organized a free medical camp at Ward No 10 in Kachi Chawni, here today.
Over 150 patients underwent medical check-up at the camp and some of them were given free medicines besides carrying diagnostic investigations.
Gupta said the current camp is a part of series aimed at a disease free society by attending to the medical needs of those who are hard pressed due to various reasons. She hoped that more and more philanthropic organizations would come forward in a big way and help in making the mission of health for all a huge success.
She also called for timely care and diagnosis to reduce the mortality, especially among children and women, saying that such camps hold special significance in this context.
Dr Firdous, Dr Aditya Singh and Dr OP Gupta provided voluntary services at the camp.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Dr Aamina Sheikh and others.
