JAMMU, Dec 12: A delegation of NC Minority Cell led by its president, M K Yogi called on Baseer Khan Advisor to Lt Governor and apprised him of the various issues of displaced people from Kashmir valley.
Yogi impressed upon the Advisor that the date of filing of application be extended not less than one month so that all deserving candidates can file their application forms without facing any difficulty. He also put forth the demand of 45 candidates who are on dharna at Press Club Jammu waiting for their appointment and demanded that they should be given justice and the issue be taken up with SSB immediately. Besides, the demand of migrants on dharna at Jagti for last 72 days for hike in cash relief be redressed.
The Advisor assured the delegation that the Government will look into all these issues.
Later the delegation led by Yogi called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Migrants, T K Bhat with whom these issues were also discussed and he was asked to take up these demands with higher ups in the Government. Yogi, however, complimented the Relief Organisation for rendering services to the people even during the COVID pandemic even after some of its employees became victims of the pandemic.
B K Bhat, Ashok Dhar, Umesh Talashi, Samad Reshi , Rajindera and Abdul Ahad Lone were the other members of the delegation.
