SRINAGAR, Mar 14: Block president of National Conference (NC) was today shot at and injured by the militants in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district.
Mohammad Ismail, 60, Block president National Conference was shot at and injured when militants fird at him at Thajeewara, Bijbehara in Anantnag district of South Kashmir. He was removed to Bijbehara hospital where from he was shifted to SMHS hospital in Srinagar.
He had received bullet injury in his chest and his condition is stated to be critical.
Meanwhile, security forces rushed to the spot and have launched a search operation to nab the militants responsible for the attack.
