JAMMU, May 26: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K vice president and former Minister, Priya Sethi, today launched a scathing attack on the National Conference (NC) Government accusing it of total failure in fulfilling poll promises.
Priya Sethi asserted that the ruling administration has completely failed to deliver on its pre-poll promises and has lost all credibility to help the poor and common citizens of Jammu and Kashmir.
The senior BJP leader made these remarks at the BJP Head Office in Trikuta Nagar, here, following an extensive interaction with numerous public delegations who voiced severe grievances regarding a total breakdown of basic services.
Expressing shock after hearing the public grievances, Sethi stated that the NC Government has proved to be an absolute disaster for the common man within a short span of time. She accused the administration of enjoying the luxuries of power while abandoning the people on the ground.
“The level of public distress is alarming,” Sethi told reporters. “A Government that cannot guarantee electricity, motorable roads, or livelihood has no moral right to remain in power.
Sethi categorized the failures of the Omar Abdullah-led administration into critical areas like employment, solving power crisis, providing better road connectivity etc.
She added that severe and unannounced electricity cuts across both urban and rural areas, despite tall pre-poll promises of free or subsidized power has worried people of Jammu division.
A total breakdown of the administrative machinery, leaving daily issues like drinking water scarcity and civic apathy completely unresolved.
Sethi assured the visiting delegations that the BJP will not sit as a silent spectator to this misrule and will aggressively hit the streets to hold the insensitive NC administration accountable.
