JAMMU, Nov 20: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta lambasted National Conference (NC), People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Congress parties and accused them of not taking interest during its decades long rule at Centre and in the State in making J&K a developed State.
Addressing a gathering after kick starting the blacktopping work at Qasim Nagar Ward 47, in Gandhi Nagar Constituency, here, today, he said instead the leaders of these parties always misled the people for irrelevant issues and propagated two-nation theory besides supporting anti-national elements.
Gupta was accompanied by Baldev Billawria, Vinay Gupta, Neeraj Puri, Sharda Devi, Vivek Patyal, Daljit Singh, Sunny Sangral, Rakesh Kumar, Suraj Rana, Govind Sareen, Davinder Raina and Ashok Kumar.
Gupta said from over last five years, the BJP Government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has been doing phenomenal work for the development of erstwhile J&K State. The State which has been always in the spotlight for terrorism activities, is now gaining momentum towards the development of the infrastructure. PM Modi brought IIT and IIM in J&K and it became one of the few states in India which is having both IIT and IIM. A new Northern Centre of Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) is also granted to Jammu city. These radical and grass -root level developments which definitely enhance J&K State in terms of jobs growth, infrastructure will help slow down the migration of youth from J&K to metro cities in search of an affluent career.
Gupta further added that, PM Modi is not only eyeing J&K Union Territory, but he is also developing Ladakh UT which has been ignored by Abdullah’s family and the Congress party since the independence. The newly created Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh means developmental activities to be executed independently for this region. Gupta said the security of any State is always the main concern for its business and development.
He said PM never hesitated and did not flinch even for a moment before taking bold decisions of counter-attack in avenging the attack on innocent Army Jawans by terrorists. The surgical strikes near the Myanmar border and the Uri sector, Abolition of Articles 370 & 35A, are the testimony to his tough and bold administrative skills. In the new administrative setup, I am sure that people of J&K would see more radical developments and infrastructural growth which will certainly help the J&K UT to grow in several aspects.
