JAMMU, Dec 18: Former Minister and senior BJP leader, Bali Bhagat held successive Governments of erstwhile J&K State responsible for unabated miseries of daily wagers.
He appealed the Government to roll out a comprehensive policy to regularize all daily wagers working in various departments for the last more than 20 years.
In a handout Bhagat said that it is an irony that the wages of some daily wagers remain unpaid for long as a result of which they along with their families have reached on the verge of starvation.
“There are a number of youth appointed under various SROs who have put in their valuable years of life to serve in Government departments and have not been regularized till date,” he maintained adding that the Government must formulate a comprehensive recruitment policy whereby all the vacant posts must be filled-up on fast track basis.
Holding NC and Congress responsible for spoiling the youth of J&K by appointing them as daily wagers and casual labourers on community participation basis etc and then leaving them to fend for themselves, Bali Bhagat said that these parties have always exploited the youth to secure their vested interests.
