NC, BJP workers clash, 11 injured

SAMBA, Apr 17: The workers of National Conference (NC) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) clashed over a tiff resulting into injuries to 11 persons in village Gho-Brahmana, falling under the jurisdiction of Ramgarh police station.
As per police sources, Sarpanch Ram Lal of NC and ex-Sarpanch Keshav Lal of BJP had a tiff over some old rivalry.
The situation worsen when the workers of both the parties clashed, resulting into injuries to 11 persons.
On getting information, police team from Ramgarh police station rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Government Emergency Hospital Vijaypur.
Later four injured persons were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for specialized treatment.
The injured have been identified as Ajay Kumar (40) and Ashok Kumar (36), sons of Babu Ram, Keshav Dutt Sharma (46), son of Om Parkash, Shashi Sharma (39), wife of Satish Kumar, Angrez Lal (52), son of Sain Dass, Kapil Magotra (20), son of Kuldeep Raj, Sanjeev Sharma (22), son of Angrej Lal, Arun Sharma (22), son of Brij Mohan Sharma, Yash Paul Sharma (51), son of Om Parkash, Ekta Sharma (21), daughter of Yash Paul Sharma, Rajan Sharma (25), son of Kuldeep Raj, all resident of village Gho-Brahmana.
When contacted SSP Samba Anil Magotra said that counter FIRs have been registered by both sides under Sections 147, 148, 149, 323, 336 and 452 RPC at Ramgarh police station and matter is being investigated.
