JAMMU, Dec 11: Claiming his innocence, president of Gujjar Bakarwal Desh Tehreek-e-Insaaf, Jammu, Choudhary Nazakat Khatana has accused the agencies including Crime Branch Jammu of harassing him.
Talking to media persons, here today, Khatana said that he was falsely implicated by the Crime Branch Jammu, which tortured him on the instance of some political persons. “I had never offered anybody on the name of job. I am a social worker and work for the benefit and rights of common people especially poor Gujjar community of Jammu division,” he said and added that his arrest was only to divert the common social causes for which he was fighting.
He appealed the Governor J&K to safeguard and protect Gujjar community for which he was fighting and also direct Police to make soft policy towards social workers who are on the path of truth.
Ch Sher Ali, Hassan Din, Ch Aslam, Ch Rafquat and others were also present on the occasion.
