JAMMU, July 28: National Awami United Party (NAUP) has appealed to the LG administration to immediately check degradation seen in the performance of Government schools.
Addressing a press conference here today, NAUP president, Sandeep Singh claimed that over the years it is being seen that over all standard of Government schools in J&K has fallen.
“Simultaneously there is large scale growth of private schools in J&K which clearly indicates that performance of Government school is poor and people are forced to admit their children in private schools by paying huge fee,” he said.
Singh said that officers of School Education Department must admit their children in Government schools.
“Big amount of Government funds are being spent on Government schools but what is the productivity and outcome. Why those responsible for poor performance of government schools are not made answerable?” he asked.
The NAUP leader said that J&K LG must make public the names of bureaucrats whose children are studying in private schools so that public should know the real intent and can ask them directly about poor performance of Government schools.
Bupinder Sharma, Nater Pal and Pritam Sharma were also present in the press conference.
