JAMMU, Apr 3: Amidst resounding support of numerous party workers, the National Awami United Party (NAUP) candidate, Shikha Bandral here today filed her nomination for Jammu-Reasi Lok Sabha Constituency.
Accompanied by scores of jubilant supporters, Bandral reached the office of Returning Officer, Sachin Kumar Vaishya and filed her nomination papers in the presence of NAUP president, Sandeep Singh Manhas and others.
While talking to reporters Shikha expressed her commitment to fight for women’s rights, preservation of Dogra culture and true identity of Dogras.
She criticized the present Government for neglecting Jammu and favoring Kashmir and claimed that her party stands for the marginalized communities which remained underrepresented in politics.
Bandral highlighted her party’s ideology of ‘Har Gareeb Banega Leader’ (every poor will become a leader) and openly invited people from all backgrounds to join her party and represent themselves.
