National Integration Camp for NCC cadets at Nagrota

JAMMU, Nov 11: Commenced on November 7, the 10-day National Integration Camp for NCC cadets of about 17 NCC Directorates is in full swing here at Nagrota.
The camp, being organized under the aegis of NCC Directorate, Jammu & Kashmir with an aim to promote national integration, solidarity and develop camaraderie among the youth, would conclude on November 16.
Nearly, 550 NCC cadets and Associate NCC Officers (ANO’s) representing 17 NCC Directorates from all over India are taking part in the camp. This year’s theme of the camp is “My Earth My Duty”.
In addition to the training schedule of the camp, plethora of events conducted till date include lecture on the development initiatives and role of NCC cadets, presentation on National Integration by various States, lecture on Drug Abuse, Drug Trafficking and its impact by Narcotics Department, Jammu, an address by Director WHO to the cadets on Mission Indradhanush and role of NCC in spreading its awareness. Visit to an Aviation Squadron and Dog show by the Army Dog unit was a memorable event for the cadets.
Various eminent persons and gallantry award winners, civilian and defence dignitaries, Director General NCC and General Officer Commanding Fire & Fury, are scheduled to visit the remaining period of the camp and interact with cadets.
In next four-five days, the cadets will participating in a host of sports, cultural, educational and recreational activities including visit to various places of tourist interest in and around Jammu.
