JAMMU, May 31: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta continued to distribute ration kits in areas falling under Gandhi Nagar constituency. At Doda Basti, Belicharana ration kits, face masks, and other daily needed items were distributed among over 100 families. Gupta said as per the directives from top brass leadership, the party has launched a movement to help daily wagers and poor families who were facing challenges due to lockdown restrictions amid COVID-19 outbreak.
He said on daily basis a list of beneficiaries is prepared on the basis of inputs received from social activists and volunteers. The volunteers under supervision of senior leaders of party are directed to reach out to public distribution of ration and other essential items. “We are following our principle of `Nar sewa- Narayan sewa’ so that no poor goes to bed empty stomach. The ration was provided by Red Cross Society, Jammu, Gupta added.
On the request Kavinder Gupta, Directorate of Indian Systems of Medicine AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy) Jammu today organised a free of cost Ayurvedic and Homeopathy Medical Health Camp. The camp was organised for the general check-up of the residents mainly old age persons who were facing problems in reaching out to Government hospitals. Gupta said it is need of the hour that such camps are organised at booth level in periodic manner so that the medical facility is provided at doorsteps of the people amid COVID-19. Free of Cost Ayurvedic and Homeopathy Medicines were provided to all besides free of cost immunity boosting Ayurvedic medicines and supplements given to 210 persons. Prominent among those present on the occasion were former MLC Vikram Randhawa, district Jammu president, Vinay Gupta.
On the first anniversary of Modi Government, BJP State Mahila Morcha general secretary Adv Neha Mahajan in the presence of State president, Mahila Morcha, Sanjita Dogra, general secretary Urvashi Gupta, Mandal president, Anita Gupta, also distributed 250 Ayurvedic hand sanitizers and 800 face covers/masks to the public who came to the camp.
Meanwhile, Kavinder Gupta on completion of one year of Modi-2 Government said nation witnessed the historic decisions like passage of Muslim women (Protection of rights on marriage) Bill that banned instant Triple Talak among Muslims, scrapping of Article 370 & 35A from Jammu & Kashmir thus removing special status and dividing State into two Union Territories and pronouncement of much delayed Ram Mandir judgement. The passage of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), 2019 also is a historic bill passed by the Parliament.
