UDHAMPUR, Nov 21: Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, Chenani Police today arrested a drug peddler and seized 42 Kg of contraband substance poppy husk from his possession.
During patrolling, Police team of Police Station Chenani caught one suspected person who was trying to hide himself from the patrolling party. During search, 42 kg of poppy husk like substance along with one mixture grinder and weighing balance was seized from the accused namely Ashok Kumar son of Om Parkash of Kither, at present Ward number 03, Chenani.
Police arrested the accused and seized the recovered poppy husk along with mixture grinder and weighing balance. In this connection, a case FIR number 124/2020, under section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Chenani and further investigation is under progress.
