JAMMU, Mar 25: Police today arrested a narcotic smuggler along with over one kilograms of poppy straw from Gajansoo, falling under the jurisdiction of Domana police station.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police team from Domana police station laid a naka near Gajansoo and intercepted a pedestrian namely Ashok Kumar, son of Mohan Lal of Marh, Gajansoo.
During checking, police recovered 1.25 kilograms of poppy straw and arrested the narcotic smuggler.
A case under FIR number 113/14 under Section 8/15 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at police station Domana and investigation started.
