REASI, Nov 7: Minister of State for Finance and Planning Ajay Nanda today toured Kanjali areas and held grievances redressal camp to redress the public issues.
In his day long tour, the Minister also dedicated one power sub-station to the people of Kanjali besides distributing sewing machines and handicapped pension cards among the beneficiaries. Later, the Minister also visited the site of a bridge over Khad and kick started its pending works.
The Minister was accompanied by District Development Commissioner Prasanna Ramaswamy G, ACR Harbans Lal, ACD M.Y. Malik, DSWO Kulraj Singh, Tehsildar Rajesh Attri, CMO, Executive Engineers of R&B, PDD, PHE and REW, Chief Agriculture Officer and various other officers and officials of various departments.
In the camp, large number of people apprised the Minister about their problems and developmental needs and sought their redressal. Besides, giving patient hearing to the people, the Minister resolved many issues on the spot.
The major issues raised on the occasion include smooth foot path for people and students especially girls till the construction of motorable road in Kanjali areas, houses under PMAY to deserving families, RBA status to village Kanjali, restoration works in Tanda areas, requisite staff and machines for Bore well.
The locals also demanded power supply to 50 un-electrified house holds, water supply to two left out habitations namely Selli and Miyari, Higher Secondary School at Kanjali, AWCs in Ward-1, 8, 7 and 2, primary school at Miari and Palial areas, Butaan-Kanjali road, seed distribution center etc.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that State Government is committed to provide clean administration, good governance and holistic development of all rural and urban areas. He said development initiatives are being taken on fast track basis.
The Minister stressed upon district administration for taking more initiatives for empowering women, besides sanitation, hygiene and organizing mass awareness programs in the area. He said that Government is taking various measures to develop tourist infrastructures to attract adventure tourists, fish angular and pilgrimages tourists in the area.
