JAMMU, Aug 25: Nami Dogri Sanstha (NDS) has expressed strong dismay over the neglect of All India Radio (AIR) Jammu where Dogri culture, language and literature have allegedly been ignored systematically under the nefarious designs of non-Dogri knowing officers who claim to have the patronage of Prasar Bharti chief.
In a statement issued here today, President of the Nami Dogri Sanstha, Advocate Harish Kaila said that even after raising the matter of neglect of Dogri culture besides series of corruption activities prevailing in AIR Jammu with CEO Prasar Bharati, no action was initiated against the guilty.
Mr Kaila added that despite pointing out illegal appointments made at AIR Jammu in his representations, the Prasar Bharati head and Chief Vigilance Officer of the organization maintained a stoic silence.
Alleging that instead of enquiring into the fraud in CBS Jammu and illegal way of booking casual staff/announcers, the erring officer was promoted, Mr Kaila pointing out that even during Covid -19 pandemic, non-musical persons, (some above 65 years age), were booked and paid handsomely for doing music related work in the Music section of AIR, Jammu.
