SAMBA, Aug 6: The irate villagers of Naltha in Sapwal area of Samba district today held a protest demonstration against the PHE Department for their failure to put a lid on the water tank supplying drinking water in the area.
The protestors were led by Raj Kumar Congress Sewa Dal leader and they accused the authorities for this grave negligence.
The protestors said that by keeping the water tank without the lid on its top can expose the people of the area to grave risk who are being supplied water from this tank in this rainy season as there is any apprehension of the organic and inorganic matter finding its way in the water tank causing health hazards to the people.
The protestors raising slogans warned to launch the agitation in case the immediate steps were not taken to put the lid on the water tank and the department will be held responsible in case the epidemic spreads in the area.
