Shilpi seeks shifting of petition from Srinagar to Jammu

JAMMU, Aug 6: Shilpi Verma, widow of late Kuldeep Kumar Verma, who sacrificed his life during the 2008 Bham Bham Bhole agitation, and Shree Amarnath Land Row, has moved to the High Court seeking justice so that the petitioner can see the report of the Justice (retd) O P Sharma Commission of Inquiry, which was constituted in 2008, in a writ petition, which is still pending.
Addressing a press conference, Shilpi Verma, petitioner through her counsels A K Sawhney Advocate with  Aseem Sawhney Advocate recalled the atrocities of police officials towards  Kuldeep Kumar Verma.
A K Sawhney Advocate said that, in this petition it has submiited that respondents have hoodwinked the petitioner, all concerned and the justice delivery system and other interested parties of Jammu, as it was the strategy of the respondents, otherwise the subject matter of the petition could not have been filed at Srinagar, since the subject matter of the petition was at Jammu, he added.
Adv Sawhney  added the Goverment / respondents are not ready to make the report public or provide the information to any citizen in view of the interim order of the High Court passed in this writ petition, it was submitted.
