SAMBA, July 18: Congress leader Ashok Kumar Sharma has expressed his concern over the water scarcity problem being faced by inhabitants of village Nagrota in Block Purmandal of Samba district where the new tube well which was dug in 2013 has failed to function.
He said the ration depot is six kilometers away from the village at Utter Behani and most of the villagers are deprived of monthly ration as it is too difficult for them to visit Utter Behani to get the ration. Besides, the village faces power crisis also as the authorities of PDD have failed to install a separate 100 kv transformer in the area. The people also lack medicare facilities as there is no health centre in the radius of 10 kms, he added.
