JAMMU, Dec 24: Nagrad Adbi Sangam in its meeting held under the chairmanship of M L Pandita elected Soom Nath Sanam as new general secretary of the organization.
It later held a poetic symposium in which J L Saroor, P N Shad, M L Masroof, A K Naaz, Sahir Ganderbali, Brij Hali, S N Sanam, Ashok Gowhar and R K Aghur read their poems. Nagrad has also welcomed the Sahitya Academy for conferring the award to various literary figures from the State.
Another meeting was held by Nagrai Literary Forum under the presidnethsip of Bimla Raina chairperson of the Forum in which the members termed the decision of the Sahitya Academy of considering the prominent writers and poets for the award an inspiration for the writers and poets of the State.
The meting was attended by P N KoulSayil, P L Hatash, P N Prem, T N Ganjoo Vishwas, B L Bhat Arpan, B N Abilash, P N Pandita, Mrs Ratna, Raj Kumari , J K Baizan and K K Raina. A poetic symposium was also held on the occasion.
