JAMMU, June 4: Nagrad Adhbi Sangam organized the fifth book release event titled “Vuzwanye Aachar,” featuring a poetry collection authored by the late Jagan Nath Sagar, a renowned Kashmiri poet and author.
The event took place at the KL Sehgal Hall in Jammu, hosted by the Writers Club. The occasion saw the gathering of a distinguished group of poets and writers.
TK Bhat, the Special Secretary of the Agriculture Department in Jammu and Kashmir, graced the event as the chief guest. In his speech, he shed light on the life and literary contributions of the author. Bhat emphasized how Jagan Nath Sagar, hailing from a remote area, began his education and literary pursuits without any external support or facilities.
AK Naaz, the President of Nagrad Adbhi Sangam, Jammu, highlighted that Jagan Nath Sagar was not only the author of the poetry collection but also a founding member of the organization. Naaz praised Sagar’s significant efforts in promoting the Kashmiri language.
Sanjay Bhat, the Additional Secretary of Rural Development, was the guest of honor at the event. He delivered a comprehensive speech on how writers from the Kashmiri Pandit community have managed to preserve the flame of knowledge amidst the challenges faced after their exodus from Kashmir.
PK Raina served as the program’s anchor, while RL Jawhar, a renowned critic and poet, presented an elaborate analysis of the book “Vuzwanye Aachar.”
Ramesh Hangloo, the CEO of Radio Sharda, also shared insights into Jagan Nath Sagar’s personality, hailing him as a remarkable poet and writer. Hangloo acknowledged Sagar’s contributions to the literary world.
