JAMMU, June 4: On the occasion of World Cancer Survivor Day, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi (SMVD) Naryana Hospital organized a gathering of cancer survivors who have under gone cancer treatment in the Hospital.
The theme of this year’s meet was “Strength is their Super Power”. The meeting was attended by prominent oncologists of the Hospital including Dr Abhinav Choudhary (Surgical Oncologist), Dr Rajeev Saini (Medical Oncologist), Dr Rajapal Singh (Radiation Oncologist) and Dr Deepak Bharti (Medical Oncologist).
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Abhinav Choudhary mentioned to the survivors that in the journey of cancer treatment the resilience of the patient matters the most and it’s their mental strength that eventually enables them to overcome cancer.
The cancer survivors present at the meet were also felicitated by the faculty of the Hospital.
