UDHAMPUR, Nov 3: In connection with 550th Jayanti of Guru Nanak Dev, which falls on November 12, Gurudwara Singh Sabha (Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee) Udhampur organized a Nagar Kirtan, here today.
The Nagar Kirtan commenced from Gurudwara Singh Sabha, Mukherjee Bazar Udhampur and culminated at the same place after passing through Mukherjee Bazar, Ramnagar Chowk, Court Road, Slathia Chowk and Dhar Road.
In the Nagar Kirtan, a large number of devotees, including elders, youth, children and women took part. Shabad Kirten and Gurubani from Guru Granth Sahib were recited by the Ragis in a special vehicle.
Panj Payaras, in traditional attire, were leading the Nagar Kirtan, which was welcomed by the locals and Bazar Association enroute. Police and Traffic Department had made all possible arrangement for security and smooth conduct of the Nagar Kirtan.
