SRINAGAR: Mysterious blast near a security force camp caused panic in summer capital, Srinagar on Friday afternoon, official source said.
Locals said it was grenade attack on security force camps while police said it was a mysterious blast in a dustbin. Sources said a blast rocked Mehjoor Nagar in the uptown Srinagar, causing panic.
The sound of the blast was heard in the entire area, they said adding no one was injured.
Senior police and security forces immediately rushed to the area. Police said the cause of the blast was being ascertained.
However, police denied that it was a grenade attack on security force camp. (AGENCIES)
