JAMMU, Feb 12: The Motor Vehicle Department in collaboration with the Mahant Bachiter Singh College of Engineering and Technology, today organized a Road Safety Awareness Camp in the college premises.
The awareness camp is part of ongoing drive by the department to sensitize the school and college students about the importance of observance of the Road Safety Rules and the procedures for making of driving licenses.
A power point presentation on procedures for filling license forms, traffic signs and road markings was presented. Film show on road safety was also organised and learner’s license forms were also distributed among the students and the staff of the college.
The Chairman Rangeel Singh, RTO Jammu, Arvind Kotwal, staff members of the college and officials of MVD were present on the occasion.
The RTO Jammu emphasized on the need for observance of the Road Safety Awareness and called upon the students to further disseminate the message of road Safety among the peer group and family members. He also stressed on the need for cautious driving in-conformity with the Road Safety Norms and motor vehicle rules.
