SAMBA, Dec 11: On the eve of “Eid-Milad-Ul-Navi” which is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad, a religious procession was taken out at Vijaypur in district Samba today. The religious procession started from BDO ground Vijaypur which passed through the Main Chowk Vijaypur and culminated at Jamia Masjid Thalori Vijaypur via Gurha Morh.
The people of Muslim community who participated in this procession also shouted slogans to highlight the life history of Prophet Mohammad and also spread the message of peace, brotherhood and unity amongst whole of the caste, creed and colour. The Muslims who participated in this religious rally said its purpose was to spread the message of communal harmony and secularism.
Amongst others who participated in the rally were Moulana Sarwar, Hazi Hashim Ali, Moulana Hafeez, Fazal Din, Mohd Shrief, Mohd Amin, Moulvi Sher Ali, Javed Bhatt, etc.
