Muslim Federation appeals people to maintain communal harmony

JAMMU, Oct 27:  Muslim Federation Jammu has appealed people of this region to maintain peace and not to fall prey to the nefarious designs of some vested and anti-social elements.
In a statement, president of the Muslim Federation, Abdul Majid expressed deep concern over growing religious intolerance in India, which leads to the killing of innocent persons. Such kind of incident further leads to discontentment among the minorities and can earn bad name to our country all over the world, he added.
Expressing his concern on overall law and order situation, the Muslim Federation leader feared the possible attempts of disturbing peace during the forthcoming Darbar Move and requested all section of the society to maintain communal harmony, which was being preserved by the Jammuites since decades together.
Appreciating the messages of President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, Governor J&K N N Vohra, Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed and Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh for urging people to maintain peace, communal harmony and brotherhood, Abdul Majid suggested that the administration should have to be very vigil. Without coming under any political pressure from any sources, the administration should carry its work impartially, he added.
