RAJOURI, Nov 1: Muslim Educational Trust Higher Secondary School Thana Mundi celebrated its 47th foundation day with great enthusiasm.
In this regard, a colorful function was organized in the school. DDC Chairman Rajouri Chaudhary Naseem Liaquat was chief guest on the occasion whereas DIG Rajouri- Poonch Range Haseeb Mughal and Principal District and Sessions Judge Kulgam Tahir Khursheed Raina were the guests of honour.
Haseeb Mughal and Tahir Khurshid Raina said, in their addresses, said that even in adverse circumstances, Khurshid Bismal did a lot for the children to get education. They also discussed the mission of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan.
The guests also spoke about the importance of girls’ education in the light of Quran and Sunnah. They asked the teachers and students to work hard.
In his presidential speech, President Mahfil praised the school administration and said that providing quality and modern education to children is the most important need of the hour. He said that in this modern age, the students should participate in sports in addition to the academic field.
During the program, a colorful cultural program was presented by the school children. Ziaur Rahman, a brilliant student of class 11, gave a speech on the topic “Taalim Sikhati Hai Jeena Ka Saliqa” which was highly appreciated. On this occasion, the students who performed outstandingly in teaching and non-teaching activities were given prizes.
Nazir Ahmed Qureshi, M N Qureshi, Shafique Raina, Mir Ashraf , Chaudhry Muhammad Hanif, Naseer Ahmad Raina, Mushtaq Ahmad Raina, Ibrahim Mir, many religious, political and social figures from across the region, school teachers and students along with Press Council Thana Mandi President Imran Khan, Nisar Khan, Raheel Gunai and Tariq Shalw participated in the event. Nusrat Khursheed Raina performed the duties of organizing the program in a very graceful manner.
