JAMMU, Nov 1: A cultural programme was organized by Doda remember and pay rich tribute to the martyrs who have laid down their lives for the security and integrity of the country.
The event was organized at Community Hall Doda under the guidance of SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom. On the occasion DC Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan was the chief guest . Chairman MC Doda Ved Parkash Gupta, CEO Doda Prahlad Bhagat, Principals of various schools of Doda besides there were nearly 400 school children of different schools of Doda also participated/witnessed the function.
A colourful programme was presented by students of various schools at the function. The aim of organizing this event was to inculcate the spirit of patriotism, nationalism and oneness among the young generation besides remembering the bravery and sacrifices of martyrs.
It is pertinent to mention here that Doda Police has organized number of events across the length and breadth of the district to observe martyrs week which includes debate competition, painting competition, Police band show, movie show, marathon, display of photographs of martyrs at prominent places to pay homage to them. The commemorative events/activities concluded today with an impressive cultural programme .
