JAMMU, May 9: Budding Kashmiri singers enthralled the audiences in Kashur Kalakaar Season-7, a musical programme to pay tribute to legendary singer Vijay Malla.
The programme was organised by Athrot Cultural Foundation here today.
Specially-abled children from JIGER Foundation under the direction of Veeshaka Bhan presented a welcome song.
Apart from chief guest, Vijay Sharma, DC Relief, others who spoke on the occasion were Prof. B.L Zutshi and Social Activists-Sandhya Dhar and M.K Yogi.
Former MLC Girdhari Lal Raina presided over the function.
The singers who have qualified for the finals include Naisha Bhat, Vanshika Kaw, Suhas Koul, Lavanya Koul, Nirmit Raina, Daksh Bhat and Parthi Dhar.
Parthi Dhar a specially-abled child presented a guest performance.
Famous singer Shanti Lal Sidh announced the singers who qualified for the grand finale.
Earlier, Kanwal Peshin, Writer, Singer and Social Activist presented welcome address.
Proceedings of the programme were beautifully conducted by Kusum Tickoo.
The event was held under the overall supervision of Directors Athrot Foundation, Abhimanyu Peshin and R.K Pandita.
Dr. Ramesh Razdan and Ayush Bhat were organising secretaries of the event.
