JAMMU, May 9: PM SHRI KV No 1 Gandhi Nagar, Jammu organized the Annual Day function at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu here today.
Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Chairman VMC, PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 Gandhi Nagar Jammu was the Chief Guest and Nagendra Goyal Deputy Commissioner, RO Jammu was the guest of honour on this occasion.
The programme started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest. TAmit Walter, Principal presented the Annual Report of the school, highlighting the achievements at various levels. In his report, he said that effort is being made by the students and teachers to up a good show. A cultural programme consisting of welcome song, Shiv Tandav, act on mobile phone, patriotic song, Khelo India and Fusion dance was presented by the students enthusiastically.
The Chief Guest gave away the prizes on this occasion to the meritorious students in the different fields of activities as well as achievers of CBSE exams and teachers with excellence in their contribution in the field of education and other fields were also honoured.
In his address, the chief guest expressed his happiness that K.V. No.1 Jammu is a popular institution in the city contributing a lot in the field of education. He appreciated K.V. No.1, Jammu. He also enlightened the children with his motivational words. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Sudha Gautam PGT Maths.
