Murious 16.0 concludes at Jaypee University of IT

JAMMU, Mar 31: Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) accomplished Murious 16.0, the biggest Tech Fest of the year, organized by Technical Sciences, Movies and Photography club of JYC in association with IEEE- JUIT SB, ACM -JUIT and JUIT Alumni Cell.
The 3-day event started with the inauguration ceremony in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof (Dr) R K Sharma, Registrar and Dean of Students Major General (Retired) Rakesh Bassi, Dean of Academics Prof (Dr) Ashok Kumar Gupta, (Dr) Vivek Kumar Sehgal, JYC Faculty In-charge Dr Amit Kumar Shrivastava and JYC president Aditya Saxena.
The ceremony of Day-1 started with lamp lighting, followed by a motivating and enlightening speech by the Vice-Chancellor, to mark the start of the events. The 1st event on the list was The Expanse- Hackathon, an 18 hour long coding contest. The fest continued with some fun gaming events – Valorant gaming and the BGMI tournament.
The Day 2 started with a Tech Talk by Ankit Khare and an alumnus of the 2008 batch of JUIT followed by a coding contest named “The Continental”, where the coding enthusiasts of JUIT took part. In the evening, the semi-finals and finals of Valorant and BGMI were organized and for some football fans, FIFA was also organized in Dhayan Kaksh.
On the 3rd day, Project Euclid, a 2-hour long coding contest took place. After Project Euclid winners were declared. There was a wonderful Tech Talk by Raj Jain, an alumnus of the 2007-ECE batch of JUIT. After the talk Code Relay was planned accordingly.
To mark the end of the wonderful Tech Fest, Synchrotron-2022 was organized. As a trend of the institute, the event began with the auspicious lamp lighting. After this, a glamorous Ramp walk was done by the participants in pairs.
Euphonious songs were performed by the band and an exuberant dance performance was displayed by the dance groups of the JUIT. Stage Players and Thespians unveiled a vibrant play and a contagious mime. The audience enjoyed to the fullest when folk dances were exhibited by Pakke Pahadiye and United Bhangra Crew.
