Murder accused arrested

JAMMU, May 21: Arnia police arrested a murder accused within 24 hours.
As per police sources, Raman Kumar (22), son of Bodh Raj, a resident of Kathar Arnia had an altercation with a class 10th student namely Jatinder Kumar, son of Balbir Singh, a resident of same area while playing cricket match yesterday. In a fit of rage, Raman Kumar hit Jatinder Kumar with cricket bat and escaped from the spot.
The profusely bleeding victim was rushed to hospital, where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
The body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites after completing medical formalities.
A case under FIR Number 42/16 under Section 302 RPC was registered at Arnia police station and manhunt was launched to nab the accused.
On specific information, a team from Arnia police station conducted raid and arrested the accused from a hideout early this morning.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Arnia Inspector Satish Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
