Mula Ram tours flood hit Raipur-Domana

JAMMU, Sept 22: Former Minister and vice president PCC Mula Ram under took tour of flood affected areas of Raipur -Domana constituency and took stock of the problems of people. He interacted with the local people and listened their grievances. Later, he addressed a public meeting at Doomi.
While addressing Mula Ram  said that the vegetable, paddy and maize crops in the irrigated areas of Raipur-Domana constituency  have been damaged completely in the devastating rains and floods and the farmers of the area have suffered  a huge loss. He stressed the need for acceleration of relief distribution process and said that any delay in providing relief will aggravate the problems of people.
He appealed to the political and social organizations to rise above their political interests and coordinate the administration in the relief distribution work so that it could reach to the needy and genuine people.
He said that restoration work of essential services like  electricity, drinking water supply, road connectivity which stand disrupted due to fast flood and rains, should be taken up on a war footing  manner. Besides the loss suffered by the farmers should be assessed and the compensation be provided as early as possible, so that they could prepare their fields for sowing ruby crops.
The prominent among those attended the meeting included Tallanter Singh -president Block Congress Committee Bhalwal, Jang Bahadur-Chairman Panchayati Raj Adalat, , Prabh Dayal Sharma, Ram Pal Sharma, Sukh Dev, Bishamber Dass and others.
