JAMMU, Mar 28: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Mula Ram said that Congress would win election on development plank as it has ensured balanced progress and development in all the three regions.
Addressing public meetings at Mishriwalla, Raipur- Kheri and Rajpura in Jammu today, Mula Ram said that Congress will seek vote from the people on the development plank. He said the UPA Government led by Dr Manmohan Singh has provided massive funds to the Jammu and Kashmir and the State has witnessed remarkable progress and over all development.
He pointed out that people of the State have been provided benefit of many Centrally sponsored schemes and the State Government has also been better supported by the Centre. Food Security Bill, RTI Act, Right to Education are the major initiatives of the UPA Government. Creation of new administrative units in the State and 73rd Amendment are major decisions taken by the State Government for the betterment of the people of this State. He claimed that only Congress can ensure better development in the State.
Secretary PCC Hari Singh Chib, PCC executive member Madan Lal Kashyap, Satish Sharma PYC leader, besides other including Amit Chib, Om Parkash and Prem Chand also addressed the gathering. They issued appeal to the people to support Congress-NC coalition candidate Madan Lal Sharma in the Lok Sabha elections.
