DRCS organizes symposium

JAMMU, Mar 28: District Red Cross Society, (DRCS)  Jammu organized symposium on the theme 150 years of Humanitarian services at New Gandhi Memorial Higher Secondary School, Miran Sahib,  today.
The programme started with lighting of the lamp. The students showed tremendous enthusiasm in the symposium and exhibited their talent and spoke excellently on the topic.
O P Gupta veteran educationist while interacting with the Principles and students said that Red Cross means missionary zeal and wished that a sea of humanity would join hands to serve all those in distress and wished that JRC volunteers from schools would render their services to save lives.
Pinky Jain -co-ordinator Childline Jammu-a project of District Red Cross Society, Jammu briefed the audience about the object of having a organization like Childline and how the members of public can also be helpful in helping the children in distress.
In the end, mementoes were presented to winners of symposium. Later on a light refreshment was served to the students.
