JAMMU, June 23: It was euphoric excitement inside the KC Gurukul School Jammu as Director/Actor Pixie Mahajan was seen in the premises of the School mingling with the crew and her team to shoot Muhurut shot of Pixie in Wonderland.
Pixie replying to a question to media said, “In the Indian film industry, the muhurat shot or muhurtam shot is the first shot (or take) of a film marking the commencement of the principal photography. It is preceded by a pooja (religious rites).”
The remarkable achievement of Pixie Mahajan serves as an inspiration for budding actors from smaller regions, proving that talent and hard work can break barriers and create opportunities in the competitive entertainment industry.
Pixie Mahajan’s journey in the entertainment industry has been anything but easy. Hailing from Jammu, she dared to chase her dreams without any influential backing or a so-called “Godfather” to guide her way. Armed with raw talent and relentless determination, she decided to test her mettle in the heart of the industry itself – Mumbai. Overcoming initial struggles, she worked tirelessly, honing her acting skills and seizing every opportunity that came her way.
While Pixie Mahajan has achieved success as an actress, she is now set to break new ground as a filmmaker. Returning to her roots in Jammu, she is currently directing her upcoming Hindi movie in her hometown. This venture marks an incredible milestone as she becomes the first female director from Jammu and Kashmir, inspiring aspiring filmmakers, particularly women, to pursue their dreams and contribute to the evolving landscape of Indian cinema.
Apparently fascinated, the exuberant Producer/Actor Arjun Mahajan who was otherwise also busy shooting Ad-films as a Celeb-Model for products said today is my D- Day which I was waiting very anxiously to shoot this movie with budding actors.
