Mubarak Gul demands macadamisation of roads in Eidgah constituency

SRINAGAR, May 8: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference NC) senior leader and former Legislator, Mubarak Gul presided over a meeting of party’s local unit functionaries at Palpura. During the meeting , Gul had wide ranging interactions with functionaries on various issues.
He urged the LG Administration to expedite the drainage project work and macadamisation of roads in Eidgah constituency.
Expressing deep anguish over dilapidated condition of roads and other public issues ,Gul said “Various main roads like Palpura, Badi Wuddar, Guzarbal, Shunglipora, Danmar, Kreshbal, Chonch Fakeer ,Noorbagh, Firdous Colony and other link roads in Eidgah constituency are in dilapidated condition due to administrative apathy, Government must take up the much needed macadamisation works in the Eidgah constituency at the earliest, so that commuters not face any difficulties during travelling.
He said people are also facing difficulties on daily basis like shortage of drinking water, unscheduled power cuts and dearth of other basic amenities. The LG administration must resolve the difficulties of common masses without any further delay.
It is germane to mention that the work on the coveted road and drain projects in Palpura and Firdous colony was undertaken with the assistance of the World Bank during his tenure as the MLA.
On the occasion, he exhorted the functionaries to shoulder the woes of public. He also asked the functionaries to take party agenda to every door step.
Enroute Gul met various delegations which apprised him about their problems. Several people complained about shifting of Eidgah tehsil from Noorbagh which was accessible to the people living in rural as well as urban populace of Eidgah constituency. He assured that he will take up all their genuine issues with the concerned authorities.
