JAMMU, Dec 23: Migrant Teachers Welfare Association (MTWA) delegation led by its president Ramesh Raina called on Joint Director Education (Migrants) Mohamed Javed and discussed their problems with him.
The delegation made a strong plea before him to make recommendations to higher authorities for shifting of camp school Satwari to Gangyal which is inhabited by migrants from Valley as was done previously by shifting the migrant school boys and girls Bakshi Nagar to Bohri and Durga Nagar respectively where these schools are running successfully.
The other demands included the adjustment of masters and lecturers in the camp schools on their promotion, providing of infrastructure and adjustment of unadjusted teachers promoted as masters vide government order no 928 of 2013.
The other members of the delegation included Bal Ji Marhata, Vinod Dhar, Susheel Razdan and Munu Ji Pandita.
Later the delegation called on Director General Funds Mrs Pushpa Devi and demanded computerization of the GP Fund accounts of the migrant employees as there are huge variations in their GP F scheduled being issued by the fund Organisation as they are being maintained manually.
She assured the delegation that the accounts will be computerized within shortest period of time. She also gave on spot instructions to the concerned for rectifications of variations.
