JAMMU, Feb 2: Mission Statehood Jammu and Kashmir (MSJK) here today staged a protest demonstration against the union budget and burnt copies of the budget.
The protest was led by Sunil Dimple, MSJK president who claimed that the poor, unemployed, traders, transporters and others got no relief in this budget.
“Government has no formula to stop the rising prices,” he said adding that this budget is directionless and anti- youths
He claimed that no step has been taken to bring petrol, diesel and LPG under GST.
The MSJK leader said that the budget has failed to fulfill the promise made by PM Modi of providing two crore jobs every year to the youth.
He further said that the budget has badly failed to stop the prices of vegetables, pulses, edible oils and other daily need items.
Dimple said that the budget has nothing for J&K and it is silent on regularization of daily wagers, recruitment of unemployed youths etc.
Swaran Singh, Arun Verma, Lohri Shah, Sham Sharma and others were also present in the protest.
